- 24 hours a day/seven days a week emergency service
- treatment for sexually transmitted infection
- provision of birth control
- forensic collection
- documentation in the form of the sexual assault evidence kit (SAEK) and crisis counselling
- safety planning
- medical and social work follow-up to adult victims who have been sexually assaulted
- through any of the emergency departments in Lanark County, Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospitals, Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital and the Almonte General Hospital
- police do not have to be involved to access this service
- Eligibility
- Victims of sexual or intimate partner violence of any gender, age or sexuality
- Sexual assault/domestic violence survivors 16 years and older should be seen within 72 hours of the assault
- children 15 years and under can be seen at any time
- elements of the sexual assault evidence kit (SAEK) can be collected up to 12 days after the sexual assault
- Sexual assault/domestic violence survivors 16 years and older should be seen within 72 hours of the assault
