Community-based program:

  • assessment of speech, language, and social interaction skills as well as articulation, emergent literacy, fluency and other communication-based disorders
  • consultations
  • public education about facilitating communication
  • parent education groups to discuss and practice language facilitation techniques
  • interviews can be arranged at accessible locations
  • adults living with disabilities and autism services
Eligibility
Residents of Lanark Count up to 5 years old or entering junior kindergarten with speech-language difficulties
* Residents of Lanark County, 18 years and older, with developmental disabilities or autism
Application Process
Referrals can be made by parents, caregivers, physicians, ECE staff, or other professionals
* Preschool referrals, call Language Express at 1-888-503-8885 or 613-283-2742
* For adult referrals call Connect
