• the City of Ottawa provides financial assistance for low income residents to subsidize the cost of their board and lodging in a residence

Furnished shared rooms

• meals and minimal supervision are provided
• medication management
• housekeeping and personal laundry
• referral by individuals, hospitals, shelters, family members

• reside in Ottawa
  
• be aged 18 or older
  
• live with a psychiatric, developmental, or physical disability or illness
  
• have an immigration status in Canada that is not:
  
  
  
  • visitor
    
  • student
    
  • temporary work visa
    
  • sponsored immigrant
    
  
  
• be able to live in group setting
  
• be albe to care for one's hygiene or qualify for community care services to manage their needs
  
• be albe to walk and change position or use an assistive device
  
• have transportation arrangements and manage community outings
  
• comply with medical treatment plan or be medically stable
  
• if applicable, be compliant with any court ordered plan/treatment
  
• manage alcohol/substance use choices responsibly
  
• be able to manage finances independently or have finances managed by a Power of Attorney, a Public Guardian, a Trustee, or a community care services Operator
