Mental health centre providing treatment to those convicted of a crime or found not criminally responsible for an act due to mental illness

  • 159 inpatient beds: 59-bed forensic treatment unit (FTU) and 100-bed secure treatment unit (STU)
  • also offers community and outpatient programs, such as
    • geriatric outreach
    • Flexible Assertive Community Treatment for Persons Dually Diagnosed (FACT-DD) team

River Café

  • on-site café that serves lunch options, coffee and tea as well as snacks
  • patients can work at the River Café as part of vocational training
  • menus designed alongside a dietician
  • open Monday to Friday for two hours each day at over lunch

Individuals with serious mental illness(es) who are convicted of a crime or found not criminally responsible for an act due to mental illness
