Working with the community to provide services and supports to abused women and their children and to find opportunities to end violence against women. Women's Resources provides emergency shelter, support and referral for abused women, and their children in the City of Kawartha Lakes. All programs have an intake process that includes reviewing the clients risk, and safety plan.

24-hour crisis line and emergency shelter staffed 24 hours a day.

Victoria's Women's Shelter: 18 Bed emergency shelter for women and their family seeking safety and help from abuse or domestic violence. The shelter operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Anti-Human Trafficking: wrap around support to all people identifying as women who are fleeing Human Trafficking.

Child Witness Program: group sessions, and direct support for children who have been exposed to violence and abuse in their family; support sessions also provided to their caregivers.

Outreach Counselling: individual counselling for women and teens who are experiencing abuse or have experienced abuse in the past. Various support groups are offered throughout the year, linking clients to community resources and the Resource Centre.

Community Support Program: assistance with finding the resources in the community that are needed to help them transition to a life free from abuse.

Family Court Support: offers legal support, information and the ability to connect women and men in our supports with lawyers who can offer a legal consult at no cost to themselves; assistance can be provided to fill out court documents, attend lawyer appointments, attend court and help with applying for and navigating Legal Aid Ontario.

Lori's Place: Second Stage housing provides short-term private units for women, with or without children, rebuilding their lives after abuse. 6 rent-geared-to-income units for women and their children to stay for up to 2 years. Residents will also receive counselling, education and social skills training.
