Description
A 50 year old volunteer organization of approximately 400 members, dedicated to;
  • stimulating an interest in hiking
  • establishing and maintaining trails for hiking
  • encourage awareness of the natural environment
  • promote conservation the environment
The Club Maintains a network of some 80 km of primarily rural walking trails and related side trails. Trails are not intended for bicycle or other vehicle use unless permitted by landowner.
  • Trails radiate from Guelph, East to Limehouse, west to Cambridge and the first section of G2G north of the city
  • Trail handbook available through website; digital copys available
  • The trail network exists through partnerships with municipalities, Conservation Authorities and private landowners
  • The club currnetly manages Third party city owned trails in Guelph
  • The club has a guided hike program, led by certified hike leaders of local and non-local hikes
  • Leadership opportunities exist in the club as certified hike leaders, trail maintenance captains, executive program committee
  • The club advocates for trails with all levels of government
