Description
Outpatient clinic that performs overnight sleep studies to screen for various sleep problems and disorders.

Following analysis of the sleep study, the Sleep Physician reviews the results with the patient. A second study may be necessary if the patient requires treatment for breathing problems (sleep apnea). If diagnosed with sleep apnea, the most common treatment is a CPAP machine used at night to help maintain breathing.

NOTE: sleep studies are generally not indicated for insomnia.
