Homemaking Support Services Program, Sunnyside Seniors Services
- Description
- The Homemaking Support Services Program provides in-home, homemaking support services to individuals on a limited income who require assistance/support due to an illness or injury, the effects of aging or are persons with a disability: mental health, physical health or cognitive or developmental deficits that impacts their ability to participate in homemaking tasks. Services may include light housekeeping, laundry, meal planning and preparation and groceries. Service allocation is based on assessed need and/or involvement of other informal or formal supports.
- Eligibility
- There is a waitlist for this program. Currently the wait time is over 4 years due to the demand for the service is greater than the resources available.
- Application Process
- There are three ways to apply for the program.
1) Through Home and Community Care Support Services, Care Coordinator
2) By completing a referral form available at www.cardove.com/regionofwaterloocommunityservices under Housekeeping
