Waterloo Region Energy Assistance Program
- Description
- Helps households with low-incomes avoid the consequences of not being able to pay their utility bills, such as loss of heat or homelessness.
- Eligibility
- Low-income individuals and families unable to pay their utilities.
May be eligible if applicant receives social assistance or lives in a low-income home and total household income (after tax) is:- Less than $28,000
- $28,001 to $39,000 if three or more people live in the household
- $39,001 to $48,000 if five or more people live in the household
- $48,001 to 52,000 if seven or more people live in the household
- Less than $28,000
