Description

Program addressing hurdles (mental health and otherwise) presented by the pre and post migration process

  • addresses challenges, and in many cases traumatic experiences
  • intended to improve access to mental health services thus facilitating the process of adaptation and integration into the Ottawa community
  • service is provided by Registered Psychotherapists and Registered Social Workers
  • offers internships for Master degree level students interested in working with newcomers and culturally diverse clients
Eligibility
Newcomers and refugees facing mental health challenges or longer term immigrants that continue to be vulnerable and have language needs
Application Process
Self-refer or be referred by a professional or a community member
