Sexual Abuse Treatment Program
- Description
- Specialized assessments and individual, group & family therapy for children/youth who have experienced sexual abuse (including peer sexual assaults) or who have engaged in concerning or sexually harmful behaviours. Counselling is available to families impacted by a recent report. Parent/Caregiver involvement is encouraged throughout therapy. Consultation is also available to clients and professionals regarding sexual abuse treatment and healthy sexuality.

- Eligibility
- Families do not need to have an active child protection file to receive services but all suspected cases of child sexual abuse by a caregiver, family member or someone in a position of authority/trust need to be investigated by Family and Children's Services prior to receiving treatment services. Services are offered free of charge and assistance with transportation is available.
