Sexual Abuse Treatment Program


Description
Specialized assessments and individual, group & family therapy for children/youth who have experienced sexual abuse (including peer sexual assaults) or who have engaged in concerning or sexually harmful behaviours. Counselling is available to families impacted by a recent report. Parent/Caregiver involvement is encouraged throughout therapy. Consultation is also available to clients and professionals regarding sexual abuse treatment and healthy sexuality.

Eligibility
Families do not need to have an active child protection file to receive services but all suspected cases of child sexual abuse by a caregiver, family member or someone in a position of authority/trust need to be investigated by Family and Children's Services prior to receiving treatment services. Services are offered free of charge and assistance with transportation is available.
