Description
Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Care Team provides care to survivors to help support their health, emotional and social needs

Services include:
  • specially trained team of nurses
  • crisis intervention
  • documentation and photographs
  • physical examination and treatment of injuries
  • testing and prophylaxis for sexually transmitted infections (STI), pregnancy and HIV
  • collection of forensic evidence
  • referrals to community agencies for counselling
  • no charge for any services or medication
  • police involvement not required
