Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services - Inclusive Recreation - Support Services - Shared Care Program
- Description
Integration support program helping children with disabilities to successfully take part in their chosen summer camp or PA day camp
- an integration support (Shared Care) worker guides the children through their days at program, lending a hand or guidance as needed
- intake assessment conducted prior to the start of the program to determine the child's support needs
- during the summer months, each person is eligible for up to two weeks of support

- Children aged 5-12 years old
- Application Process
- Registration for Shared Care is a separate process that should be completed after registering for summer or PA Day camps. To determine if a camp has a Shared Care program at their location, consult the list of camps. Camps with a Shared Care program are in bold
- use the online registration tool, Register Ottawa to sign up for the chosen summer or PA day camp
- once registration for the camp is complete, register for the Shared Care program at the location and time of your chosen camp
- the Inclusive Recreation department will contact you and arrange an intake assessment with an Inclusive Recreation coordinator, who will provide information about the program and assist with additional forms to complete prior to the camp
