Thresholds offers a range of mental health and addiction services, including supportive housing, crisis respite, individualized support programs, and more. We currently assist more than 1,100 individuals in the communities of Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph.

Residential program - are available for adults experiencing serious and persistent mental health concerns. Housing options include congregate living with seven (7) other individuals and smaller shared living homes, Individuals receive ongoing support services that range from 24/7 on-site support to monthly contact.

Crisis Respite program - offers short-term stays, at no cost, in a residential setting to individuals 18 years of age and older who are experiencing a mental health and/or psychosocial crisis. There are six crisis beds available at the Kitchener location and 2 beds available in Guelph. Stays are typically a maximum of 5 days. Individuals are assessed through a telephone screening prior to admission.

Supportive Housing - Thresholds provides subsidized housing in Waterloo Region and Guelph-Wellington, through agency-owned properties and partnerships with private and non-profit sector landlords.

Assessment and treatment for people over 65 years of age who have a deteriorating complex health condition that includes mental, physical and/or behavioural difficulties. Services are primarily provided through home visits and visits to long-term care facilities.

These services are offered to people 18 years of age and older who have mood, anxiety and adjustment disorders, including those who have a serious and persistent mental illness. People accessing these service(s) may receive assessment, short term case management, group programs and recreation and leisure therapy

People are supported with their goals in areas such as life skills, housing, employment and managing symptoms
• Dual Diagnosis Program: for people who have both a mental health concern and /or intellectual disability
• Justice services: providing assistance and court support services for people who have a mental health/addiction concern and are involved in the criminal justice system
• Court support: for people who have a mental health and/or addiction concern and are accused of an offence * help patients get the mental health and/or addictions support they need while they are in the midst of court proceedings, such as the community treatment court
• Release from custody: help people to reintegrate back into the community in a safe and supportive manner
