Big Brothers Big Sisters of Guelph provides one-to-one and group-based mentoring programs to hundreds of local youth, in the community and in more than 40 local schools. Volunteers (mentors) are always needed for all programs and the organization is currently accepting inquiries for support from parents and guardians, as well as referrals from other community organizations.

- Drop in access to resource centres, computer and Internet access,photocopying, faxing and community resources
- One-on-one employment counselling: interest testing and career planning, job search training, resume and interview preparation, labour market information, community resource and referral information
- Access to on-the-job training opportunities and retraining programs like Better Jobs Ontario
- Job Developers available to help clients connect with employers
- Workshop participation available in areas such as Job Seekers Network, Career Decision Making, Ace the Interview, LinkedIn and other employment-related topics
- All Youth programming includes a combination of in person workshops and experiential skill building and learning for youth ages 15-30. The youth are paid minimum wage during their pre-employment workshop participation and placements are paid at competitive labour market wages as set by the employer in their job placement. In some instances opportunities are available to obtain certificates for training such as First Aid / CPR, Safe Food Handling, Smart Serve and WHMIS ACE (Achieving Competitive Employment):individualized employment support program for people with disabilities, including students.
